SAP Testing.

The impact of poor life-cycle quality is particularly challenging in the context of increasingly complex enterprise applications and in particular their move to SOA approaches. SAP has recognised this and partnered to integrate specialist quality management tools from HP into the SAP lifecycle.

But according to IDC “The biggest barrier to adoption for these products is the human barrier. Companies must put in place effective process, workflow, and other strategies to enable effective and consistent communication between business and IT for quality management of enterprise applications”.

Assurity is SAP’s partner in New Zealand helping SAP customers improve the way they deliver SAP application testing. We focus on how to gain the most from both the HP quality tools as well as the SAP tools to ensure best practice testing within SAP environments.

Assurity partners with SAP and SAP Customers to help them:

• Standardise their approach to SAP testing and create and manage test assets strategically, making them consistent and reusable throughout all SAP project;
• Build a set of reusable test components through each SAP project that will simplify regression testing for future SAP releases;
• Centralising in a Testing tool (HP Quality Center), all the project test artefacts e.g. tests plans, scripts and defects.
• Implementing a combination of Risk based manual testing and automated regression testing to deliver quality in a cost effective and repeatable manner.
• Integrate the quality processes through the BluePrint, Realisation and Implementation phases of the SAP project
