Simon Anderson and Panel - Non-GUI Test Competencies: The Challenge

Increasingly forces are pushing testing teams into establishing and maintaining a test capability which is able to test in a GUI-less environment.

Forces? Time to market, budget, methodologies such as SOA, end of life responses such as Application Modernisation and the Composite Applications they deliver. Exposure of services in Business to Business (B2B) solutions. Etc.

As testers and as test teams how do we respond? Do we capitulate these quality responsibilities? Leave it to the developers and vendors? Cling onto a narrow spit of time and task that is GUI specific and User Acceptance? Or accept the challenge?

Simon is not an IT Kupe, not even an IT Cook. But he works with people who have followed the Kupes and Cooks before he did. He has gathered them on a panel to talk through what they did to address the challenge.

ANZTB Test Conference

CSM Certified ScrumMaster course by Jens Ostergaard

February 27-28, 2012 in Auckland, March 8-9, Wellington

Learn the essentials of working as a ScrumMaster or Scrum team member in this course. While the Scrum Alliance provides a list of core concepts that must be covered in the class, Jens creates his own material, allowing courses to differ based on his strengths, interests, and experiences.

Jens who became a certified Scrum Trainer in 2004 have certified more Scrum Masters than anyone else conducting CSM classes in Oceania. Jens held all the first CSM classes in OZ and Kiwi, starting in 2005. Coming to Oceania regularly Jens brings his world Scrum experience of implementing Scrum to the class.

SQC Conference (Canberra) | October 2008

The inaugural Australian Software and Systems Quality Conference held in October 2008 was a huge success and was a credit to the growing Software Testing Community in Australia.

With over 190 delegates in attendance, the conference exceeded the expectations of not only the organisers, but the exhibitors and delegates alike. The speakers received excellent feedback and delegates particularly appreciated the opportunity to interact with presenters during the breaks.
